Early Learning in Action

Our preschool program is a joyful, play-based journey for children ages 18 months to 4 years, designed to nurture each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual growth. Every day is filled with exploration, discovery, and connection, guided by caring educators who know the importance of these early years.

 

Learning Through Play

The Preschool Experience

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and inspired. The Glazer ECC curriculum blends open-ended exploration with gentle structure, so children build early academic skills while developing creativity, problem-solving, and empathy. Classrooms are rich with opportunities for:

  • Hands-on learning in art, science, math, and early literacy
  • Creative expression through music, drama, and movement
  • Outdoor adventures in our age-appropriate playgrounds and gardens
  • Social-emotional growth through cooperative play and guided problem-solving

A Day in the Life

While no two days are the same, a typical day includes:

  • Morning circle: Songs, stories, and sharing
  • Learning centers: Art atelier, sensory play, block building, dramatic play
  • Outdoor play: Movement, exploration, and nature connection
  • Snack and lunch: Healthy meals and snacks included in tuition
  • Rest or quiet time: For our youngest learners
  • Afternoon enrichment: Optional classes such as Little Scientists, Young Ninjas, theater, cooking, sports, or dance

Families may choose full-day or half-day schedules. Early care starts at 7:45 AM, Monday–Thursday, and programs run until 5:30 PM (Fridays until 5:00 PM).

Developmental Milestones

At each stage, our teachers guide children toward key milestones:

  • 18–24 months: Developing language, motor skills, and self-regulation through sensory exploration
  • 2–3 years: Building independence, early friendships, and problem-solving skills
  • 3–4 years: Expanding pre-literacy and numeracy skills, critical thinking, and self-expression

Progress is supported by low teacher-to-student ratios that exceed licensing requirements, ensuring every child receives individualized attention.

The Jewish Connection

Days at Glazer ECC are infused with Jewish values, traditions, and celebrations. Children experience the joy of Shabbat each week, discover the meaning of holidays through hands-on projects, and practice kindness, gratitude, and respect in daily interactions. These moments build a foundation of cultural pride and community belonging.

Parent-Teacher Partnership

Parents are an essential part of the school community. Teachers maintain open communication through regular updates, conferences, and photos of your child’s day. Parent gatherings, holiday events, and volunteer opportunities help you form lasting friendships and feel connected to your child’s learning journey.
