Nurturing the Whole Child

At Wilshire Schools East, we believe a great education goes beyond academics.

Our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program helps children understand themselves, connect with others, and navigate the world with empathy and confidence.

Values in Action

Through age-appropriate lessons and everyday interactions, students build the skills that make strong, kind leaders: self-awareness, resilience, active listening, and problem-solving. We weave in Jewish values like chesed (kindness), tikkun olam (repairing the world), and kavod (respect) to guide our approach and shape our community.

How We Nurture Emotional Growth

With guidance from caring teachers and a culture of support, our students develop the character, courage, and compassion to thrive in school, and in life.

Emotional Intelligence

Naming and managing feelings, practicing empathy, and recognizing others’ perspectives.

Conflict Resolution

Learning to work through disagreements respectfully and collaboratively.

Mindfulness & Reflection

Activities that help students focus, manage stress, and make thoughtful choices.

Leadership Skills

Opportunities to take responsibility, lead group projects, and mentor younger peers.
